Does anyone know of a good list of permaculture/sustainable communities that allow visitors? I am moving from Texas to Nova Scotia and want to do a tour of various communities to learn from them. East coast communities are the goal.
thanks,
I have not done the full east coast tour...but places I thought were cool were: Hostel in The Forest (a little transient but a great place to chill in southern GA.
The Farm: Ecovillage Trianing Center. Funky Hippy Permi Playground
Serius Community in Ma...i have not visited but heard good things
Heathcoat community in Maryland...know some folks there, have not been yet, looks cool
and I here that CoSM might need help moving into their new soon to be sustainable cosmic art node

Kelly, Earthaven in Asheville as said, for sure. There is also in New Brunswick an ecovillage which its name is lost in my consciousness right now..phew. In Nova Scotia there are a few too. Not sure where you are moving but the Annapolis Valley has a lot of like minded folks.
